How to Revive an Animal
Revive an animal that was previously ended to clear its end date and end reason and return it to active status. Use this when an animal was ended by mistake — reviving keeps the animal's records, notes, genotypes, and parentage intact.
Step-by-Step Instructions

Open the Animal page
Click Animal in the navigation menu, then open the row of the ended animal you want to revive.

Open the actions menu
Click the Actions dropdown at the top of the animal detail page.

Click Revive
Pick Revive from the menu. The option only appears when the animal already has an end date — active animals don't show it.
Pro Tip
Revive is non-destructive — you can end the animal again later if needed.

Confirm the revive
A dialog shows the previous end date and asks you to confirm. Click Revive to clear the end date and reason and return the animal to active status.
