How to End a Litter
End a litter to mark it as no longer active while leaving every pup in the litter unchanged. Use this when you need to close out a litter without weaning — the pups stay alive in their current cage, and you can still end them individually from the Animal page.
Step-by-Step Instructions

Open the Litter page
Click Litter in the navigation menu.

Open the litter
Click the row of the litter you want to end to open its edit page.

Click End Litter
Click End Litter at the top of the form. The button only appears for litters that haven't been ended yet.

Confirm
A dialog explains that the pups won't be changed by this action. Click End Litter to set today's date as the litter's end date.
Pro Tip
If you also need to end the pups, do that from the **Animal** page — ending the litter alone keeps the pups active in their cages.
