How to Connect Slack
Connect Slack to Moustra to get real-time alerts about colony events—new litters, upcoming weans, cage transfers, and genotype results posted directly to your lab channel. Your team stays coordinated without leaving Slack.
Open the Settings page
Click Settings in the navigation menu, then select the Integrations tab.
Find the Slack card
Scroll to the Slack integration card. Click Connect or Authorize to begin.
Authorize in Slack
A Slack window opens. Select your workspace and authorize Moustra to post messages. You may need Slack workspace admin approval the first time.
Pick your channel
Select the Slack channel where alerts should go (e.g., #lab-updates or #colony-admin). Only one channel per Moustra organization is supported.
Configure notification types
Check the boxes for event types you want to receive: New Litters, Weans Due, Cage Transfers, Genotypes Ready, and IACUC Alerts. Uncheck any you don't need.
Save and test
Click Save Integrations. Moustra sends a test message to your Slack channel to confirm the connection is working.
