How to Add a New Strain in Moustra
The Create Strain form in Moustra lets you define new mouse strains by entering a name, default genotypes, weaning age, tag prefix, and background. It supports instant creation of genes, alleles, and backgrounds, and automatically formats the strain name based on selected genes.
Step-by-Step Instructions

Open the Strain page
Click Strain in the left sidebar to open the strain management page.

Click Add strain
Click the "Add strain" button to open the creation form.

Fill in the strain form
Enter Strain Name, Short Name, add Genes with their Alleles, and optionally add Description and Source.

Save the strain
Click Save to create the strain.
