How to End Cages
The End Cage feature in Moustra allows you to close a cage record when it's no longer in use. Ending a cage removes it from active cage selection menus and locks further animal assignments. You can set an end date and add a comment to document why the cage was closed (e.g., cleaned, retired, or emptied). This helps maintain accurate and up-to-date housing records in your colony.
Step-by-Step Instructions

Open the Cage menu
Click Cage in the left sidebar to expand the menu.

Go to List View
Choose List View to see cages in a data grid.

Select cages to end
Use checkboxes to select the cages you want to end.

Click End cage
Click the End cage button in the toolbar.

Fill in end details
Enter End Date, End Reason, and optional Comment.

Confirm
Click confirm to end the selected cages.
