How to Wean a Litter
Wean a litter when its pups are old enough to leave the dam — Moustra moves each pup into the cage you pick and marks the litter as ended in one transaction. You don't have to transfer pups one at a time or end the litter as a separate step.
Open the litter
Click Litter in the navigation menu, then open the row of the active litter you're ready to wean.
Click Wean Litter
Click Wean Litter at the top of the form. The button only appears when the litter is still active and has at least one alive pup.
Assign each pup to a cage
In the Wean litter dialog, pick a destination cage for every pup. Each pup defaults to its current cage, so you only need to change the ones that are moving.
Confirm
Click Wean & End Litter to move the pups and end the litter together. The button stays disabled until every pup has a cage assigned.
