How to Add a Mating
Set up a breeding pair or trio so Moustra can track the mating and link any resulting litters back to its parents. If you leave the strain blank, Moustra generates one automatically from the parents' genotypes.
Step-by-Step Instructions

Open the Mating page
Click Mating in the navigation menu.

Start a new mating
Click Add mating at the top of the page.

Select the male
In the male grid, check the box next to exactly one male. Filters help you narrow by age, strain, or genotype.

Select one or more females
Check the box next to each female you're pairing. You can select more than one for trio setups.

Enter mating details
Pick the housing Cage and the Set Up Date. The Mating Tag and Comment fields are optional but useful for labeling the pair.

Save the mating
Click Save to record the mating. It'll appear in the mating grid and become selectable from future litter forms.
