    How to Configure Weekly Reports

Weekly reports give a lab leader a once-a-week summary of colony performance — animals added, ended, weaned, and born; cage utilization trends; matings in progress; protocol compliance; and notable changes vs. last week. They complement the more frequent Daily Reports email and are tuned for review meetings and PI updates. Once enabled, they land in chosen recipients' inboxes on the configured weekday and time.

    Step-by-Step Instructions

    1

    Open Reports settings

Click Settings in the navigation menu, then select the Reports tab. This is where lab-wide reporting preferences live, separate from individual user notifications.

    2

    Enable Weekly Reports

In the Reports tab, find Weekly Reports and click Configure or Edit. This opens the weekly summary settings without affecting your existing Daily Reports alerts.

    3

    Choose delivery day and time

Pick the weekday and time the report should be generated and sent. The report aggregates the prior 7 days of activity, so the chosen moment defines the weekly cutoff.

    Pro Tip

Schedule delivery to land in the inbox a few hours before your recurring lab meeting — that way the PI and team walk in already briefed on the week's colony activity.

    4

    Pick the recipient list

Use the Recipients picker to select lab members who should receive the weekly report. Click Add external email to include collaborators, the PI, or admin staff who do not have Moustra accounts.

    5

    Preview and save

Click Preview to see a sample of the upcoming weekly report, then click Save. The next weekly report will be generated and delivered to all configured recipients at the scheduled day and time.
