    Beyond core setup, Moustra offers lab customizations and learning aids. This guide covers customizing end types and reasons, adding notes to records, using guided tours, and managing lab settings and users from the mobile app.

    1. Customize end types and reasons

      Each lab can create custom end types (how a life ended, e.g. 'CO2 Euthanasia', 'Found Dead') and end reasons (why, e.g. 'Experimental Endpoint', 'Breeding Retirement'). Lab admins add, edit, and manage these from Lab Settings.

    2. Add notes to records

      You can add free-text notes to animals, cages, matings, and litters to record observations, reminders, or extra context. Each note shows who created it and when, and multiple notes can be added to a single record from its detail page.

    3. Use guided tours

      Moustra includes interactive guided tours that walk you through the interface. The onboarding tour activates when you first log in and highlights key features, and additional tours cover specific workflows like animal creation.

    4. Manage lab settings on mobile

      Lab settings and user management are accessible from the mobile app's settings screen, where you can view lab configuration and manage notification preferences.

    5. Manage users and plans on mobile

      Admin users can view and manage team members directly from their phone. The mobile settings screen also provides access to subscription details and plan management.
