How to Add a New Cage
Register a new cage so you can start housing animals in it. Each cage has a unique tag and an owner; rack location and cage type are optional metadata that feed the rack visualization and cost reports.
Step-by-Step Instructions

Open the Cage page
Click Cage in the navigation menu.

Switch to List View
Choose List View to see cages in a data grid.

Start a new cage
Click Add cage in the toolbar to open the creation form.

Enter cage details
Fill in the Cage Tag (must be unique), choose a Rack Location and Cage Type, and assign an Owner. Add a Comment if the cage has context worth remembering.

Save the cage
Click Save to create the cage. It's now available to house animals.
